Evening fellow runners,
As mentioned in my last post, I have signed up for some virtual races. The first was for a 5k to be run in December for the guide dogs association which I ran in 37 mins 30 secs.
The second race consisted of 4 medals and to achieve these I had to run a 5K every week throughout December. I guess it was an incentive to get out there at least once a week but Iβm glad to say that I didnβt need much encouragement. I completed the set of medals today as it seemed fitting to finish on Christmas Eve to complete the set π π π π
I have to admit that I think Iβm going to have an addiction to these virtual races. I can see myself just joining every single one. I see it as a good thing but Iβm not so sure about my bank balance π°π°
Whatever I spend on the medals, it has to be better for me than just sitting on my butt, watching tv and pigging out on junk food ππππΏ although I do intend to indulge over the Christmas festivities!!
Lastly, Iβd like to like to say thanks to my fellow runner friends on this forum who have made the last 5 months so enjoyable. Thanks for your kind words, your encouragement, your belief in me, your optimism and your very wise words of wisdom, all of which have been greatly appreciated ππ
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all ππ πΌπππ€ΆπΌπ₯πΎπΉ
