Just completed my first run of the 5k challenge and surprisingly loved it! I normally hate running but I’ve found it’s because I pushed myself too far too quickly, walking and jogging was perfect and I’m so excited to see what the future holds! Bring on run 2!!!

Well done.

It is a fact that your body will make adaptations, beneficial to running, more efficiently at a gentle pace, than if you push hard, so absolutely no reason to go too far too soon. A gentle jog is all that is required.

Enjoy your journey.

The trick.. you have discovered is.. Slow and Steady! It works.. you will get so tired of hearing this but it does :)

Take your rest days, listen to your body... ( and us) and really enjoy the journey. Keep posting too!

Very well done you!

Thanks for the encouragement 😀😀

Well done you for starting the programme. I too hated running (thank you all those bossy PE teachers from school who just about put me off forever!)

For me the best bit is purely challenging myself, at my own pace. Having now graduated (never would have believed I could a few months ago) I am still out there doing it FOR ME!

Believe in the programme and listen to your body but ENJOY the fantastic feeling of doing something that's just for you...:-) Good luck!
