Finally got out for my second run of week 1 (have been working the last three days). I was worried that the gap between this and my first run would put me back to square one but amazingly I am finding it so much easier already.

Kept a nice pace and my breathing felt controlled throughout. Only thing that put a dampener on it was my right ankle and knee acting up about half way through. Tightening sensation and pain every time my foot hit the ground. I warmed up plenty so maybe it's my footwear or style of running that's causing the issue?

Anyway, feeling very positive about the whole thing right now and already looking forward to my run tomorrow :)

Brilliant!

Keep an eye on the ankle and knee, don’t run in pain or you’ll end up with more than three days in between runs on the injury couch xx

Well done on completing your run. If you can't manage to get a run day try doing strength and flexibility exercises. I didn't know about them until Week 5 but they do seem to help 👏

That's great, well done. 😃

I quite often find that an extra day of rest( or 2!) imposed by work demands results in a more comfortable run.

Regarding your knee & ankle advice given on the forum seems to be don't worry about small niggling aches and pains, but do not run on an injury.
