Hi! I'm hoping this is going to be fun.... Maybe not!

8years ago I suffered a spinal fracture in 3 places. Before this I ran 20/25 miles per week. I'm hoping, with this App, I'm going to at least run a mile or two soon

C25K is a gently progressive training plan which will stretch you each week until you can run for thirty minutes non stop.

But you are in control.

We always encourage people to maintain the momentum and move on once they have finished a run, but if you need to build more slowly, then that is fine too. As a former runner you know how much of running is psychological and moving forward will build your stamina and self confidence at the same time.

Go as slow as you need to and don't compare with former performance...it is all progress and slow and steady works.

Post your progress. We would love to hear how you get on.

Good luck.

Thank you!

That's a great tip. Will post as I go and learn how to follow people to share in their work too

Thank you again

Good luck. Start again gently. You may want a change of attire as well as running on land.

IannodaTruffe and Oldfloss say it all - they are this forum's two mentors and for very good reason. This place is amazing and if there are times when you wonder if you've bitten off more than you can chew, post and we'll be there! It took me longer than the nine weeks - really because I was scared of previous injuries reappearing - they didn't (except once which was totally my fault!). You can do this - you will do this - and we will all be here to share your journey!

Welcome. You are in the right place. Please post here before every run, and after every run. We'd love to hear of your progress... and if you know that we're waiting to hear from you, then you'll be accountable for your progress.

Seems like you've been very active in the past, and with that determinism, you're going to master this program. Where were you diving?

Best wishes.
