Hello I've just completed wk2 first run and my knees are aching this morning after a night's rest. I haven't been able to run/jog for years but week 1 went well. Can anyone offer any advice in terms of exercises to help a pair of old knees cope? I do have good running shoes and the only warm up I did was the brisk walk, where am I going wrong?

Were your good running shoes fitted after a gait analysis?
If not, they may not be suitable.

Warming up well.. dynamic stretching too.. and definitely stretching and maybe rolling after the runs..
These may help;
