Returning to running after 2 babies in 20 months. Week 2 done

After running (plodding) on and off for years it all went a bit to pot when I got pregnant with baby number 3 at the age of 39. Now after having baby number 4 10 months ago I really need to do something. I'm so unfit and have gained a stone in weight. I've started C25K and have just finished week 2. I'm finding it ok but wow my knees and back ache

Well done! Keep going slow & steady! You will ache a bit as you are building your "running legs" but take 2 rest days if needed & maybe add swimming as good alternative.

You are doing this for you & the stamina will come in handy when you have to run after the children!

Sloooooow and steady and well done you, Mummy!

Just follow the programme, take rest days in between runs and more if needed... take into consideration the impact of small one too, on your time and energy :)

Lots of great exercise for rest days for you to do with small one as well :)

I am Grammy to a 10 month old..my daughter does lots of exercise with little one and I do loads of walking with her..( in her buggy) and plenty of squats, holding her too...great for core strength!!!

So exciting, and you are going to feel so much fitter after you complete this... :)
