Wk1 run 4! Shoe advice? Flat feet.

Phew!! I repeated 1 wk 1 run to make sure I was ready to move onto wk2. I've noticed my stamina building already, I managed the runs without stopping because of breathing or pain in my legs. BUT it killed my feet. My feet are FLAT. Like you couldn't even push a piece of paper under my arch. They also roll inward slightly. I found it felt strangely like the bones in my feet were shifting and rubbing or something odd like that! Has anyone got any tips please?

Gait analysis at a good running shop would help - it is free and they would help with finding you a really good pair of shoes. At this stage of the game though, you might want to go somewhere a bit cheaper, but need to look out for supportive shoes which offer motion control for overpronators. I don't have flat feet but I do overpronate to a degree. Interestingly, I think running has helped my feet as they are generally much stronger now. Good luck - finding the right pair of shoes can make a real difference and different brands all fit slightly differently. I am lloyal to Asics Gel Kayano's which suit me well but they are massively expensive!!😮 Good luck with Week 2!🙂
