I think it's a very personal thing and lots of answers. Depends on you and what you actually ate but as a rough guide you should leave it about 2 hours after an evening meal before running I think!

One man's snack is another man's banquet.........so meal size and your own digestive system will make all the difference.

I have read snack=1hr, light meal=2-3 hrs, heavy meal =4hrs livestrong.com/article/5304...

I only run first thing in the morning with either half or full banana, depending on run length and a pint of highly diluted apple juice, having found that running after meals did not agree with me.

Like others have said it is personal. My average is an hour after breakfast. I also tend to run the hour just before my lunch, very rarely after it, I have never run after my main meal of the day.

On Monday I had a jacket potato for lunch. 6 hours later I did my run and it felt like it was weighing me down. It may well be psychological but I'm not making that mistake today. Today I'm having a nice light chicken salad and had breakfast of poached eggs on toast. I'll then have a light snack before I go for my run around 7pm. I learnt my mistake on Monday but that's just me. As others have said it's very personal and you'll know yourself when something doesn't quite feel right for you.
