Have just completed week 4 and about to start week 5 run one tonight; I've got this I tell myself, 5min run with 3mins walk in between, shd b able to do that (wouldn't have said that at the beginning!!!!) But I was stupid enough to check out runs 2&3 thinking they Wud all be the same!!! WRONG!!!! Feeling overwhelmed, no way I can go from running 5mins to 20mins in three runs!!!! Hate failure, feel this week is going to be the one that tests me to carry on :(

Its not that bad after the fact. Just slow down. You'll be stoked at the end!

I think we all felt that. I was so terrified of it I did an addition run for week 5 of two ten minute runs with a walk in between. , and that gave me confidence for W5R3. However everyone says trust the programme and Laura will talk uou through it ok. It's such a huge achievement running for twenty mins with no breaks you wil feel elated after. Honest.

Absolutely get it as to be honest, I think that's what all of us said ... without fail! It's a progressive programme and your biggest challenge is your mind and gremlin thoughts like 'I can't do this' or 'I'm not ready' ... the best piece of advice is that you need to start off slow ... and slow down right through if you need to ... it's not about speed, it's about maintaining the running time ... break it down into sections of your choice ie minutes, quarters whatever ... but above all take it really easy. Use a trusted route, don't throw in any new surprises like hills you've not encountered before and check back when you're done ... we're waiting to congratulate you :-)

Just done week5 run 1 & apart from a very sore left calf muscle (forgot to do my warm up stretches) - I did it! I remember just 4 weeks ago when 3 mins felt so unachievable, so I'm stoked! Still dreading run 3 tho!

Follow the plan....... it has worked up to now. Don't limit yourself by negative attitude. You CAN do this.

Stretch after every run. Try these nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/...

You do not need to stretch before a run if you do a decent brisk warm up walk.

Believe me you can do it. I thought I never would, was scared witless. Relax as best you can, take it slow (& as oldfloss has kept telling me "and then slower still"). It's 75% mind. Go, go, go - well done!
