The Run after the Weekend Before!

Well I hit my milestone 50th birthday on Saturday and spent the weekend in London doing nearly 27,000 steps over the two days with the family, culminating in a delightful afternoon tea yesterday with free-flowing champagne. Oh dear.

Tonight's Week 8 Run 2 was a trial of endurance. My hips were telling me to stop from about half way but I ignored them and we made it! Runkeeper said it was our fastest pace at 14:12mi/min which I know to most would be a snail's pace, but I'm feeling pretty chuffed!

Looking forward to a non-hungover Week 8 Run 3 on Thursday!

Snail's Pace is the correct speed... sounds like you had fun...and yet still got a run :)

Slow and steady as you head towards the Graduation podium.... ( there is champagne waiting there too!!!)

You are getting there! Happy half century. You are a few days younger than my - I celebrated my 50th with a champagne afternoon tea the weekend before. Running in my fifties so far been rather lax but going to get back into it again and prove I am fit at fifty!

Happy birthday and well done. Speed is not important, happy running.
