I'm new here, but have been lurking for months. Re-started C25K again after an 18 month break due to plantar fasciitis - (I had just completed the programme when it struck). My husband and I have started together this time (he was 71 yesterday, and I am 70 in June) - we completed Week 5 Run 1 this morning - a good start to the New Year. It was really tough though' and I am wondering already how we are going to manage Run 2...let alone the dreaded 20mins. Still hopefully this site will inspire...and I have learned the lesson of keeping it slow and steady - I found last time as soon as I tried to speed up or increase my stride I pulled a muscle and had to rest for several weeks...hopefully that will not be the case this time. Are there any other older newbies out there with inspirational tales?? They will be much needed as the weeks progress. Happy New Year to all.
