Have had a few days away during which time I haven't run but have walked a lot. My knee has still been a bit niggly at times but am going to have a gentle jog tomorrow and see how it feels then if it's ok I'll try week 4 day 3 and see what happens but if I have to go back and build up again I will!!
So fingers crossed🏃

Don't give up because the benefits truly outweigh the negatives. My knees were niggly (when not running and especially on the stairs at work- 4 floors including basement). After about 2 minutes running it seemed to ease and I kept at it .....sllooowwwlyyy... Now they rarely niggle at all, only when I sit with my legs on a footstool for too long so that probably serves me right. If I'm honest I don't think my knees stopped complaining completely until around week 7/8; so it did take a while but they really are good now. I didn't tell anyone they hurt because I thought someone would say I should stop running but in fact it's the opposite and everyone says build up slowly and it'll get better. And don't forget the program is a guide and lots of people on here take longer that 9 weeks to get to 30 minutes.
Just try a small Irishprincess type jogette.... her majesty know her stuff! See how you go.
These knees... they can be so niggly and quite a few of us have had issues... sometimes they just ease off, but sometimes, if ignored they can result in a spell on the IC.
I had ten days there after ignoring a niggle... I wrote a post about about it! The Curious Incident of the Knee that niggled in the Night-time ! Tee hee
So.. your body will tell you what is what, listen to it and if you feel you 'kneed'......to build up again, then go for it
I had problems with my knee, turned out the tight muscles in my hip was actually the problem, started doing yoga stretches and leg strengthening exercises and I'm back on week 6 with an 8k charity run in my sights in December 😀
