Week3 R1: I found the increas of tme running and... - Couch to 5K
Week3 R1
I also did the same and glad for the rest day today, and a nice tube of Ibulieve for my little aches and pains
Well done sarahspain .
Keep going. You will find all the weeks tough but it's designed to slowly build up your stamina and endurance. It's nothing you can't handle. Nearly everyone on this forum has been there before you and everyone found it tough but they got through it (and some of us are still getting through). You can too!
Please make sure you only jog as slow as you can and always take at least 1 rest day in between, otherwise you risk injury. I always took just 1 rest day in between mine but after completing run 2 of week 5 (before the 'big' run 3 (20 mins non-stop) I decided to take 2 rest days, and that's what I do now as I think taking just 1 rest day wasn't giving my body enough time to heal itself back to 100%. That was fine for the short runs but not now I don't think.
All the best with rest of the plan.
I am a bit confused as on my download run 3 of
week 5 is the same as run 1 and 2 not 20 minute non stop??!
It sounds like you might have just downloaded the first part only! Make sure you look at the following link, click on 'week 5' and then you will see there are 3 parts to that week! nhs.uk/LiveWell/c25k/Pages/...
Any problems with it, just shout!
