I' was well over 60 when I started this programme littleduck. Two years later I'm even older, still running and feel great! Keep at it! It will change your life!

Thank you for all your kind wishes - just done second run today - still feel great.. however, got a dodgy knee so have to take it carefully - not going to give up though....

If you've a bad knee you might want to try out different surfaces to see what's kindest to it. I run mostly off road (footpaths and fields, and big hills/moorland when I get the chance) and find its much better for my joints. Tarmac gives me sore hips.

I'll be 69 in 2 weeks - started C25K 2 years ago - ran my first Half Marathon yesterday.

Welcome - and look forward to hearing more from you

Welcome - your really in the right place! Plenty of us over sixties here! Good luck - just take it nice and steady. Depending on your starting level of fitness, you may find it beneficial to take extra rest days sometimes.

Brilliant - you are all so very kind.

Rest day today - I agree with that - even though I want to RUNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Used to do it when I was younger and was very active up to about 42... then lost the plot.... now, can't wait to get my body back in condition and lose a few of those "middle-aged" - eating, alcohol related pounds. :)

In the same boat Ducky, veteran I would call it. A few of us around and I think we are doing well.

I like "Vintage" . It sort of gives the feeling of frills, satin, long scarfs, leather smells, long necklaces .......... now wouldn't it be a great idea to have a vintage run...... Shame I live so far away

Knee dodgy - but Physio says that being careful whilst doing my training - as well as performing all the exercises all will be well...yayayaya. Just started week 2 1st run yesterday - found it easier that the runs on week one - suprising.

Inspired. I'm 61 and thought myself too old to run. Have downloaded the c25k so here goes ................
