Easing back....

I am a much happier bunny now I'm pleased to say. After straining my right calf nearly a fortnight ago I am back running (gently) again and managed a Week 4 run this evening (working my way back to Week 7 where I was about early July!!) So.... the plan is to continue with Week 4 and onto Week 5 next week. It was such a lovely evening and I really enjoyed the run, hate the fact its getting dark so early now... I want the summer evenings back! I really want to continue with the rest of the C25K and to motivate myself to run through the winter because I ain't a fan of cold weather at all!

Good luck with your comeback! I was out for two and a half months with a calf tear so know the frustration. Take it easy and before you know it you will be back where you were, I'm sure.

Feels good to get out there again though doesn't it? :-)

I'm doing calf exercises twice a day and the road back to running is a lonely one, so take care!

Cold weather is not so bad. It's thinking about it that's worse. Once you get out there and start your brisk warm up walk - and maybe having warmed up indoors first - then you soon get acclimatised. When you start running you'll be fine. I always wear a hat! I start off with a lightweight, shower resistant jacket too but usually take it off once I get warmed up and then pop it back on for the walk home

Enjoy your remaining runs

Well done for getting back into it. Best of luck for the rest of the programme. X
