Fitbit Flex?

A friend bought me a Fitbit Flex for my birthday a month ago and today was the first time I've used it (had a bit of trouble syncing it to my ancient iPhone and had to install it for a tablet instead).

It was super satisfying going above & beyond the 10,000 step mark and I'm looking forward to seeing how it tracks my run as thus far I haven't used any kind of mapper/tracker.

Does anyone on here use the Fitbit Flex?

I've had my flex for 2yrs now, I love being able to compete with my self to better my step total or increase my active minutes, becomes addictive checking your count for the day. I've even been known to pace up and down the hall to hit a target before going to bed!!!!!!

I have a fitbit flex. I got it as a gift last month also for my birthday. I wear it all the time. I love the achievements i get when i go my 10,000 steps even sometimes going passed double that Mark.

With the running I use run keeper ti track my actual run but i use fitbit flex as soon as i leave the house so it records my warm up walk and run. I guess it won't be as accurate but it saves me from having to start so many apps just before i run! And i get to see the total distance I've covered while with run keeper is just the running distance.

It's working for me at the moment but might change or around ad I've only been using these for a couple of weeks.

I have one........had it about a month too and like you it won't sync to my ancient iPhone so I have to keep using a PC :) For runs its only going to measure how many steps you did, I use it in conjunction with my Garmin Forerunner which I've had a year which gives me distance, time and pace during the run and a pretty map afterwards. its very satisfying getting to 10,000 a day which most days I've struggled with so far (unless it was a run day) but this week may be the week I hit a minimum of 10,000 a day for the full week (at least that's what I'm aiming for!) Last Sunday on the sofa clocked up less than 2,000 steps....the shame!

I've had one for one year, and find it good for motivating me to be more active on non-running days. Walking to the shop, parking furthest from the supermarket, walking round the kitchen before bed...

It syncs fine to my iPhone 5 and I think the app is very good. Battery life is good for 5-6 days.

Downsides?

Occasionally it needs to be reset as it fails to sync

Charging is a bit hit & miss. The contacts on the Flex seem to oxidise and give a dodgy connection.

I am on my third strap - they last about 5 months

When I was in Rural China last year it just stopped working. The humidity got to it. Worked again once it was dry.

Don't know where to set my step goal. Hit my target on a running day & miss my target on a non-running day.
