W9 R2 was.. meh.

After almost a week off running today I braced myself for the second 30minutes run.

However, I found that it took forever to reach halfway and when it did, I had to slow down to a pace sooo slow that a snail would dash past me 😥 And after what seemed like forever, Laura eventually said five more minutes. By then my legs already felt like lead and my face must have gone from red to purple. From that point I tried to focus on only putting one foot in front of the other until Laura said that was it. I really can't tell if r2 of w9 was done and dusted.

I long for the graduation run but if repeating today's run is what it takes then that is what I'm prepared to do. I only hope that running will never be as excruciating as today. Here's to hoping ☺

Happy running everyone!

You still did it anyway despite feeling so rubbish so well done. Just put it down to a bad run - we all have those days where our brain, body or mindset is off. Put it behind you and start planning something nice to do after your graduation run (I always find the carrot works much better than the stick)!

There will always be the occasional bad run - it's a sort of rite of passage! The next one will be special because it's graduation run!

Thank you Ully.. I was feeling miserable after that run. But you're right, graduating wouldn't be special without the ups and downs throughout the whole journey. Onwards and upwards!

Well done jelly_b. The tough ones like today are worth twice as much as the 'easy' runs. It would have been very easy to give up today but you got through it.

Just take it very steady next time and try to enjoy your graduation run.

Thank you Dunder. Promise next time I will keep it steady at a snail's pace ☺

As a matter of fact, I always found the second run of any week the hardest. I am sure the next one will be better. Maybe you want to start extra slowly instead of slowing down later on out of sheer exhaustion. This helped me a lot recently.
