A Hobbit Moment

No I didn't look down and find I had large furry feet!

I ran in the opposite direction to usual. The sun was just breaking through after heavy rain and it was a gorgeous morning. I reached the point in the road where it started to go downhill and where I would normally think, 'If I go down the hill then I will only have to slog back up it when I come back'. But looking ahead I could see the lane snaking away in the sunshine and had the hobbit moment ' the road goes ever on...' So I took the plunge and carried on towards the horizon, the birds singing, the sun shining, the rain over, my feet flying over the ground. OK so the last point is not true but I really enjoyed it.

Oh and getting back up the hill - I walked/ran it and it was not so bad.

I had a hobbit moment this morning, but it was just the desire for second breakfast.

I enjoy running my regular route backwards on occasion. Feels like an entirely new path

I had a hobbit moment today but only because I'm listening to 'The Two Towers' on audiobook!
