What does the group use when having trouble expectorating mucous?

I have recently began having difficulty coughing up anything. Is this process that happens with COPD?

Morning ask your GP or respritory nurse for one you should be able to get one I did and because I'm on benefits did no t have to pay. Hi there Iโ€™m the same as you just canโ€™t seem to get it up Iโ€™m not one who can just spit it out I get it to the back of my throat then no further I know you shouldnโ€™t swollen it but I canโ€™t help it tried alsorts nothing helps

I have used both an Acapella and an Aerobika. For me, the Aerobika works best.John

Thank you. After much research, I've decided to try the Acapella Choice Blue Vibratory PEP Therapy System. One can use it in any position and it's appears less complicated and for me that's a very good thing. Plus, it's really releases the mucous.

Someone recommended taking carbocistine, I am planning on asking my pulmo about it at my next visit.

Good to have a chat with your doctor. My doctor had recommended N Acetyl cisteine. Their are many mucolytics and they ARE different. Here is a link to some info.
