I had mine a few years ago, no side effects. I was quite happy to have it, and so far not had Pneumonia either. So I would say yes have it, but talk to your GP about it, especially if you have any misgivings about it.

I had one a few years back... I was getting pneumonia on a regular basis until I had the vaccination! It was a very good thing for me to have it, especially since I don't get a flu vaccine! Good luck making your decision...

Stay strong and blessed

I have gotten the pneumonia vaccine twice since my first LC diagnosis. I was told I need to get one every 5 years. I also get the flu shot every year.

Hello Hometeam2016, The Pneumonia vaccine is often recommended for people who have immune systems that don't work as well. The pneumonia vaccine won't always prevent you from getting pneumonia but it lowers your chance or you will have a more mild case of pneumonia.
