If you search "endobronchial valves" on here you'll find plenty of information. I have posted a few times about my own experience. I had seven valves inserted one year ago (which reduced my lung volume by shutting off my lower left lobe - it means the better parts of the lung can take over and they work more efficiently) and the procedure was a success for me. There are many tests to go through to decide if they are suitable for a particular individual.
