Have been on Oxygen 24/7 and medication of two inhalers - Spiolto & Fostair but this week a new to me GP has removed my Fostair inhaler and replaced with Carbocisteine capsules to thin the mucus and hopefully reduce my coughing. Has anyone experience on these forms of medication as at the moment have little confidence in this new to me, part time GP.
Is it alright to take Fostair along with Spio... - COPD Friends
Is it alright to take Fostair along with Spiolto inhaler for COPD ?
Hi, sorry it takes me so long to answer. My cell is crapping out won't stay charged. Anyway, I would check with the pulmonologist before changing meds. My gp changed one of mine and when I told my lung dr, she was angry, gp usually aren't as well read on copd and all that it incurs. I use supplements but I checked with her first and they help with mucus and inflammation a lot. Nac and serrapeptase along with cordycepts is what I take and 1000 mg vitamin c a day for my immune system. But it depends on what meds your on so always check with dr or pharmacist first. I hope this helps. I hope all goes well.
I am only on only one inhaler a day, do not know any thing about pills, I am on oxygen 24/7 also? so do not know ask your prescriptionist that question or your doctor.
