Hi I am so sorry to hear this and you must be all devastated. We don't know the full situation and even if we did couldn't give medical advice over the internet. The best person to ask is her specialist. It doesn't sound good though.

My thoughts are with you. Take care.

Do you know of any natural/alternative treatments that may help

No sorry. I think she is beyond any alternative treatments.

I am sorry you are going through this. Unfortunately, I agree with lilaclil. We cannot give medical advice and a specialist is the best person to ask.

If you don't want to go back to the doctor who gave you the diagnosis, maybe a second opinion from another specialist or maybe go to her primary care?

I was told I had respiratory failure 10 years ago and heart failure 5 years ago and I am still here. :) All it means is they are not working as they should. My advice would be to ensure your mother has a good diet, exercises appropriately and has a positive outlook. Don't give up too easily.
