The smell ........!!! I'm used to it. My family are not. I use a pouch deodorant and spray the WC with 2 fresheners, and then open and empty the bag.Pew, I can even tell a good curry. LOL Funny.. Not, for my family or work colleagues. I don't admit a it of course. Anyone tied bicarbonate of soda in the pouch? Any magic we need to know about?

Hi I have had a stoma for more than 30 years. Each make of bag seems to have its own points

I am using Coloplast Censura, which I have used for at least 18 years , no problem with the wiffffffs ! I don`t use deodorants

I recently tried the new version, for me a disaster a new filter meant I was not pleasant to be around.

Go to one of the open days , the stoma sister will know when. the next one is.

Get samples from all the different companies. I`m sure you will find the wright one for you.

By the way Manuka honey for any skin problems.

best of luck

Tony

Hi Tony

It's the emptying of the bags contents which is awful smelly. Any suggestions welcomed.

I empty at the same time as I flush, seems to reduce the problem

I bought a large bottle of peppermint oil from amazon , i mix it with baby oil and use a small syringe and squirt in about 20ml after each emptying ... it’s masks mine well, husband says he can only ever smell the mint. He knew when I’d run out of peppermint tho 💩😷🤐
