Hi I'm just wondering if any research has been done on if the vaccine can affect us with CMT. I also have found I've had severe allergic reactions to things I'm not even sure of what it is so am worried if I should even consider it.

I have type 1a. I the Astra Zeneca jab two weeks ago with no side effects apart from feeling tired for a couple of days. Neurological disorders are on the list of 'high risk' factors, so even more important that we do have the vaccine.

Yes I read that was a high risk factor. I see canada has just approved the vaccine you received. It will be along time before were even eligible to receive one they are just now starting clinics for anyone 75 and older who are not in a home. All senior homes have been completed but not staff some hospital staff have been done but not all. Many people I speak with are not getting the vaccine. I would love to but with having life threatening allergies at the moment kind of worries me . 2 years ago started with apples which I would have 4 times a week and then 3 types of creams I'd use for my psoriasis I had severe reactions not line in sight when I'll see a allergist was told takes 2 years to get an appointment but with covid last year I'm sure that time line has changed

My dad & I had our covid vaccine about 4 weeks ago, we both have CMT. 2 days after my arm felt slightly bruised, didn't effect dad at all.
