Years ago while studying I had the thin arms and legs and not eating lots. Then years later I put weight on and arms got bigger (maybe what I was eating) then lost weight again. I get food intolerances the last 6yrs or so. Is it possible to lose weight put it on then loose it to not be able to gain much weight. Blood tests show I am well. Thanks Madonna

I've got really skinny wrists, up to my elbows, my hands are just skin and bone but my feet and legs are a bit fatter because the consultant says the muscles that should push water & blood up the body again are unable to do their job properly cos of CMT and water is collecting in my feet and ankles.

Its odd that the same condition gives two different results!!

I was diagnosed with CMT type 1a when I was 11 years old and yes my legs did not develop properly as well as my arms and hands. I was very self-conscious about my legs and never wore shorts. But my mother instilled in me to not let my disabilities get in my way. I faced my fear, this was after I also lost my sight, I attended a blind school and my coach talk me into joining the swim team and I was petrified. I was the boy with a really skinny legs. But I faced that fear and although I was sure the boys would make fun of my legs while we were in the showers, they never did and I became more comfortable with letting others see my legs and just not too much worry about what other people thought.
