Paddy, I do that mostly at night but blamed it on sleeping with my mouth open. But sometimes I do it do it awake. Strange thing I have Sjrogren syndrome, a autoimmune disease that causes you to have dry eyes & not make saliva. Weird huh?

I have that sometimes, very embarrassing. Also problems swallowing when drinks go down the wrong way - a coughing fit normally ensues, quite a common occurrence these days... seems to be affecting my automatic epiglottis control somehow.

This is very familiar to me (please note I have not had my diagnosis yet, but have all the classic symptoms of CMT). I have been doing this drooling on one side for most of this year, I was blaming it on dental treatment, but now I am sure it is not that. I also have this choking on tiny bits of food or drinks, feel I need to be very aware when eating or drinking. Seems like a lot of us have the same symptoms!

Yes it can be embarrassing, but it seems to be part of CMT, I have to be aware, as I've lost feeling in places on my face, including lips so don't always know if saliva is ready to come out.. <3 HUGS <3
