Hello I wanted to poll folks to see what pains meds have brought any benefit for both joint and nerve pain or either separately. Much of my joint pain is bone on bone likely due to over use to compensate for weak muscles. Thank you

Celebrex (celecoxib) works well on my lower back pain due to osteoarthritis. Neurontin (gabapentin) works for some people's neuropathy type pains and Lyrica (pregabalin) works well for mine.

Hope this helps Stetson28 .

Hallo Stetson,

I use a combination of Tramodol and Paracetamol for pain. I have tried Gabapentin and Pregabalin but didn't find them much use. I do try to be very sparing with the Tramodol. It seems to take the edge off when things get bad.My pain is partly mechanical and partly neuropathic. Hope you find something that works for you.

Best wishes,

I'm on gabapentin for my lower back, doctors said I'm in pain there due to me having ptsd , they help me a lot , I can't understand how I get pain in my back due to having ptsd but it's a nervous thing doctors said

I'm on Lyrica as I have sensory issues. It definitely does reduce pain associated with pins and needles. However, it can be a difficult drug to get used to and a gradual increase in dosage is necessary as it can make you very sleepy.
