Can receiving Covid-19 and Flu vaccines at the same time be a cause of skin rash for CLL patient?
(I remember reading something in that effect last fall).
I would appreciate your input. thanks

Hi Champlain,

I'm not a trained medical professional, and have not heard of a specific cause and effect like you describe.
However, our CLL has already damaged our immune system, and up to 25% of CLL patients have skin issues.
Getting any vaccines also can agitate/effect our immune systems.
So my mechanical engineer logic says that either vaccine could be the cause, having both together may be a coincidence. CLL makes us susceptible to many auto immune issues, this may be your particular trigger for a rash. (mine was ibrutinib, but all the COVID, RSV and Flu vaccines did not).

I got a terrible rash on my 6th booster so much so I'm still having problems 14 months on . Basically it caused vasculitis which I have never had before just had another punch biopsy taken from the hospital waiting results. But the answer in my case is yes and apparently my dermatologist said he has seen it quite a bit not just us CLL patient but generally. He blames the spike protein in the vaccine which he says is the same as the original virus which also caused skin rashes. As I said tests ongoing will update
I don't know about the flu vaccine, but the Cvd vaccine can for sure, my son & law developed a severe rash after his second Moderna, he's had to do a couple of rounds of prednisone.
I’m just recovering from a severe skin rash. I got the COVID booster and flu shot months ago. But it seems almost anything can trigger skin issues for Cll-ers. In my case, we narrowed it down to large daily doses of iron supplements
