Currently in treatment

Diagnosed in 2018 with CLL after two enlarged lymph nodes were excised. Wait and watch phase until 2020 when my numbers keep increasing. In 2022, WBC climbed to 130,000 and bone marrow stopped production of RBC so doc said it was time for treatment. After two units of blood was infused, I started Obinituzumab infusions the week of Thanksgiving 2022 and finished in May of this year. Currently on Venclexta-started having back/side pain about 2 months ago which is a side effect. Wondering how many others have experienced this as it’s not one of the common side effects. Also wondering if anyone has any info on length of results.

This is not my first rodeo with cancer-it seems to really like me ugh! Thanks for any info!

A few members have complained of back pain while on venetoclax. I had a similar journey through Acalabrutinib+V+O treatment to you, needing two red blood cell transfusions, before bone marrow recovery began after the first of my obinutuzumab infusions. I'd get occasional hip pain, particularly in the mornings, making sitting and standing particularly painful, but it generally improved during the day as I got moving. The painful morning episodes gradually eased away after I completed treatment.
