I found ice packs to be helpful. We bought a refreezable ice pack that can be wrapped around legs/arms etc and really works. Just wrap it in a towel to protect the skin. The recommended interval is 20 minute sessions with an hour between sessions.
The salonpas pain patches are good too.
I resolved these issues by reduced dosing once my bloods normalised. Been on 140mg/day for the last 4 years with no issues. I believe that the blanket dosage of 420mg/day irrespective of patient/disease status is too much for many who only need a maintenance dose. Just my take. Good luck.
