I would definitely make that call tomorrow and get that checked sooner vs later - it's not likely the spleen, but could be something as innocuous as indigestion or as serious as atrial fibrillation, and a lot of options in between.
Enlarged spleens, even if not massive, can put pressure on digestive system organs, and I believe acid reflux is a relatively common symptom. Stands to reason other digestive system issues might be a fallout of your situation. Might want to consult a GI doc?
Hi. Prior to my diagnosis in March 22 I had a very enlarged, painful spleen. I also had what you describe as bubbling from my spleen. I completed my V&O treatment in May 23 and am now in remission. I sometimes occasionally get the bubbling you speak of even though my spleen has returned to normal size but don’t have any pain.
Hi Freedom202 , so you did the complete V+O treatment in 12 months ??? how old are you if i might ask ... i am on O+V and if i remember correctly he said it would be a 2 year treatment program.. .. very glad to hear that you are now in remission .. congratulations !!!! ...hoping and praying i will have a similar experience ... blessings , james
Hi James. I began obinutuzumab in May 22 and began taking venetoclax in July 22. I completed my treatment in May 23. I was always aware that it would only take one year. That is the treatment I was placed on in the UK. I’m 56. I feel very fortunate to have responded well to treatment.
May I ask how long it took for your spleen pain to go away on V & O? I have my last infusion in 10 days but still experience spleen pain. Way better but still a pill.
Thanks everyone for your replies. I called my doctor's office about this a week ago and still haven't heard back, they're obviously not too concerned. Bubbling is still there, been about 3 weeks with it now. It's been 2 years since my last CT scan so I'm going to ask about that at my next appointment in 2 months, maybe a CT will shed some light.
