yes. I’m beginning to have memory issues. I had six rounds of chemo last July through December. Now I am on maintenance of attained remission. The only thing is, is one of my chemo drugs, and now I have to take every two months for the next two years. That’s enough in and of itself. But on top of everything else, my memory is slowly going from all of this.

How severe are they? With age memory gets progressively worse.

I’m on W&W and found stopping using Google to remember stuff has helped my memory after a few weeks. I also stopped using iPad and phone as much

You make an excellent point. I have lost some of my ability to drive to new places a second time as I’ve used a GPS to navigate and not paid attention to any signs or landmarks! There is a bit of “exercise” needed. I did a Masters degree as a COVID project and it helped a lot.

Like you I also got very used to the Satnav and before that I had a really good sense of direction. I have a good look at a map as well now, so I feel as though I know where I am in the country as I travel. I felt as though I was almost teaching myself to not remember anything by using Google every time I wanted to know anything. My memory is much more like it used to be now. Still forget names for a while but them come to me when I don’t try too hard.

Yes, my memory is much worse - I am also on watch and wait in Buckinghamshire and I put the memory/concentration loss down to the stress of all the bad news around the UK economy and all the other shenanigans. I don’t intend this to be political at all, but I think the western world is going a bit mad at the moment.

Yes. I'm in w&w. Since being diagnosed, my memory has definitely slipped. I think it's from the stress of this worry leading to loss of deep sleep. I was diagnosed in 2021 & have only recently began sleeping deep enough to dream. It sure would help if we could be free to enjoy the world rather than be self-imprisoned in an effort to remain alive to fight cancer. Guess this just isn't my greatest day. Perhaps I should remember what Thumper's mom said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."

So here's something nice: The snow is gently falling from a windless sky. A birding show, on PBS, is so beautiful to see and hear. Our puppy snuggles in on my lap with a loving glance. Clearly, beauty, peace, and love can still be found. We just have to look for it and accept that it is there. 🫂

I’m 72. Was on W&W status for 6 years. Started on Calquence last August. I suspect Memory issues are more likely related to age.
