recently diagnosed aged 73 and am w@w. I feel fit and well apart from when I pick up a cold which I have done a couple of times recently. We have a long outstanding ski trip planned for next month to Switzerland with our skiing pals, the first get together since Covid. I am feeling apprehensive but am I overthinking it? Would love some advice!

If you feel well on the day, go and have fun! If you're a little worried, spend all your time outside with your friends on the slopes, and have your hot chocolate just with your "we" (assuming spouse) afterwards. And don't push yourself "too hard" (aka to exhaustion) - that tends to be when we're most susceptible to picking germs up...
PishySue, MisfitK has given you good advice. I'm 73, in W&W 3 years. Please pace yourself. It would be detrimental for you to push yourself to keep up with your friends. It didn't take me long to know when I needed to slow down or even simply rest. I was determined to enjoy myself even with this change in activities. And I DID! And STILL DO! 🙂Sandra
I say go and have a great time. Use sensible precautions as we all should, but don't let this chronic condition rob you of living your life the way you want to.
