Hi I’ve been on VenClexta for 8 months. Initially I had a lot of problems with nausea, Vomitting, weight loss. Now this is much more occasional as I received terrific advice from Health unlocked.
I have been having stomach issues major weight loss, Vomitting and diarrhea.
I went to hospital and was diagnosed with Typhititis.
Has any one else had this side affect and if so what was your solution and outcome?
thank you

Neutropenic Enterocolitis (Typhlitis) Neutropenic enterocolitis is a severe inflammatory condition of the intestines, occurring mainly in the neutropenic, immune-compromised patients.
Typhlitis refers to inflammation of a part of the large intestine known as the cecum. It’s a severe condition that usually affects people with a weakened immune system. They can’t fight off infections like people with healthy immune systems. Typhlitis may also be called neutropenic enterocolitis, necrotizing colitis, ileocecal syndrome, or cecitis.

Has your doctor and recent blood tests shown low ANC / Neut#?
My body took several months adjusting to Venclexta, resulting in no appetite and a 30 lbs weight loss ( which I needed to lose-now to keep it off) and extreme fatigue, no energy, and easy vomiting while brushing my teeth ( gagging) . All of that has resolved itself.
Typhlitis sounds like a very serious condition based on the links I followed. My only recommendation is for you to make sure you have an excellent GI doctor experienced in typhlitis. My sister went to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for serious GI issues and they were excellent.
