Happy new year to you all. I had not planned another post for a while, however, I decided I should just share a couple of things.
1: Went for tests on 16th Dec. A nurse thought she could see a very faint second line on the LFT I did. Second LFT done and nobody could see a line but as a precaution they did a PCR. On 23rd Dec got a call from NHS 111 (or is it 119), two emails and a text. COVID positive. Not a great start to Christmas. Anyway the NHS 11x people wouldnt give me the antivirals until I got worse. I was largely asymptomatic. Home LFT on 23rd was positive, LFTs on 24th, 26th and 30th all negative and I feel fine.
2: Here is an article about CAR-T and me, it is in today's Mail on Sunday. I feel a bit awkward posting it , I hope people dont mind. There is as far as I can see only one real error, I was first with CLL in The Christie, I'm not sure I was first in UK.
Happy New Year Rob, thanks for posting the article. No need to feel awkward, it's very positive and could be the future for lots of us, God bless, Terry
Hi Rob, Just read the article. Brilliant and you look great. I love the picture of you with the grandkids on what looks like glorious Derbyshire Peak District country?
Wishing you the very best of luck health and happiness in 2023. Patrick
Hi Rob: Please don’t feel awkward. You give us hope so we LOVE to see information from you. Hopefully, you are the future for hard to treat patients. I’m sure your journey hasn’t been easy. I really appreciate the way you are so positive in your posts. I’m sorry about the Covid but with your spirt and grit you’ll handle it just fine. Happy New Year to you and your family!
By exposing your own personal experience you raise the issue, spread the word and give us hope for future treatments. Many thanks Rob and long may your remission hold strong because you have a lot of life left to give with your lovely grandchildren.
A great article, bringing much hope for those reading. You look well and happy with those lovely grandchildren. I think they keep us feeling young (well most of the time!🤣
Thank you so much for sharing! Sorry you developed COVID but grateful you did not experience the side effects many do. The article was a delight to read and so encouraging. You've got a couple of very cute grandkids, too!
