The following U.S. HHS site suggestion is for U.S. citizens, where Cholera vaccines are most often only given for those traveling to a country that has a higher incidence of Cholera.

It is important to ask your Dr. about any vaccine you are considering. Note **in the list below. 

The following is from the above HHS site: 

Who should not get the Cholera vaccine:

Be sure to tell your doctor before getting vaccinated if you:

—Have had allergies to the cholera vaccine in the past

—Have other severe allergies

—Have recently taken antibiotics

—Are taking anti-malaria drugs

**—Have a weakened immune systemCLL is a cancer of the immune system and we are each at various levels of immunocompromisation. (My emphasis)

—If you’re sick, you may need to wait until you’re feeling better to get the cholera vaccine.
