MRD negative today

Onmytime profile image
41 Replies

It’s been a long seven year journey. Started O&V last year, and was told I was MRD negative today. Thank you to this forum for the amazing information I acquired over the years! I had amazing doctors (John Burke in Colorado), and family and friends by my side. So many answered prayers!

We are all so very fortunate for the advancement in treatment options, as well as the compassion flowing from this site! Wishing you all similar healing!

Happy tears all morning!

Cheers,

Donna

Congratulations. Best wishes for a long remission

Would you be willing to tell us about the profile of your CLL? What deletions you have? it is helpful and encouraging to those with similar profiles to know that a V+O treatment for one year might be suitable for them and to have evidence of a good remission from a one who has had the same treatment.

yes! Let me see if I can get my accurate records before passing on

I was very bulky and the Obin crushed it!

I 💖 Dr. Burke. He's worth the drive/hotel stay.

Where do you come from? Maybe we can put you up one time!

From either the Springs or NE New Mexico, we stay at a Fairfield Inn suite very close to the Aurora facility. That hotel is an easy, side street AM drive that takes mmm 7-8 minutes. I don't see him at Littleton or Centennial. I do travel with a menagerie of husband and 2 small dogs, so not easy guests! He loves Benihana so we do takeout for dinner, then breakfast the next day at Rosie's Diner.

Thank you for this good news.It is raining here this morning and it sucks, but you made my day.

Keep these results coming as long as you can.The vast distance between us does not prevent me from feeling your joy and satisfaction at achieving MRD.It has rubbed off on me.

It is a strange thing in life, isn't it?

Be healthy!

Glad to hear your good news. Would you mind telling us what test was used to determine MRD?

It’s not showing up in my profile yet, but I’ll pass it on when I get it! I do know that they test 10,000 cells and all came back negative!!

I am wondering if it was a flow cytometry test. They do not have that test in Canada, but they do in US for testing MRD.

Welcome to club UMRD! These a great times for some of us lucky enough to get in. I hope your remission is deep and lasting. I joined in December of last year and feel like I turned back the clock 10 years. V&O are a godsend for those who tolerate the treatment.

Yes, it is a tough treatment. I had neutropenia from the Venaclax. Received injections to boost my neutrophils and was successfully able to continue my treatment! A few bumps in the road, but I made it!!

Congratulations to you as well!

Congrats on reaching UMRD. Success stories concerning V+O continue accumulating. My wife reaches UMR in October 2020 at month 11 of the treatment. So far so good! Cheers.
