I can't be sure but I had bloods taken by my GP on 22nd December. Shows ALC up to 21, was 17.45 on 11 Aug. 4 months before that was similar but has been rising in the order of this most recent rise. I got my booster 1 Nov, so a good 7 weeks after that.

My consultant isn't concerned, nor am I, as it's a small rise and I've no symptoms, on w+w.

Edit. Whoops, I didn't have moderna booster had first 2 AZ and 1nov Pfizer. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Hmm - yes mine had a minor bump but my oncologist noted it cuz I’ve been on Ibrutinib for five plus years and he says eventually it will wane based on my markers and I will have to go on another inhibitor which means bone marrow biopsy again and starting over - grateful I’ve had five years of peace - sure went by fast! Will draw blood again in a month and see if it was just the vaccine - hoping it so.

Mine did. I went from 24k to 30k in 6 months, so I don't knownif that is significant. It was my biggest increase in anyb6 month period since my diagnosis. My pcp told me oncologist have been telling her that there has been an increase in patients coming out of remission (tumor cancers) after covid vaccination.

I am nervous and stressed out enough and all the different opinions on the vaccines doesn't help.

That’s so interesting about tumor cancers - I wonder tho if that is just anecdotal coincidence- certainly hope so. I was thinking it would go back down if it was just the vaccine - seems counter intuitive that it would cause relapses. I wonder if they are studying this? The vaccine is so new how can they see a true correlation of this magnitude so soon?

I'm hoping this is just anecdotal.

I haven't noticed a difference in my CBCs, but I had an 8-mo "remission" from AFib after my ablation. During that time I had Pfizers and developed myocarditis. Then in December I had the nastiest AFib episode ever and ended up in emergency. Because of that, my cardiologists have given me a deferral on a booster. My autoimmnune condition has ramped up after being stable for 5 years and I am now looking at treatment for that. Two people close to us were suddenly in stage 4 lung and renal cancers. One has died, the other in very difficult treatment. Both developed problems right after their Pfizers.

My gosh - very concerning for sure. I have been on ibrutinib for five plus years with smooth sailing. I’ve had two Pfizer vaccines with no antibody response so my oncologist said to get the Moderna vaccine so I’ve had two of those and am now making some antibodies - but with the last full dose I had a small bump in my lymphocyte count. Will be retest in a month to see. But this is all very concerning.

I don't want to create a concern and cause you to worry. Other members told me the counts will jump up and down throughout the day so some bumps up and down are normal. Maybe the vaccine triggers a jump like a virus then goes back down.

Yes yes I know no one is trying to create more stress - but it’s year-after-year of waiting for a shoe to drop - does tend to be mentally draining at times for sure. But we all do our best to stay focused on the good. Thanks for engaging.

My went up. I've been on Ibrutinib for 5 years. I have an appointment the end of January for a recheck and discussion about a possible relapse and what treatment to use next.

We should keep watch to see if this is a trend.

No, but my WBC count went down from 39 to 19, which was probably as a result of the Phiser Jab, I had previously taken. It had caused a large new lump under the jabbed armpit.

My Consultant said it seems to have kick started my Immune System, (That was the words he used) If he is right, it would seem to indicate that, 'Vaccines, do have some kind effect on us CLL'rs. Good or bad, who knows.

But if your Haemo is not too worried about it, I wouldn't be either. All the best to you. Ron
