Re reactions to Covid booster for CLL sufferers

I’m in remission from CLL, had my booster jab for Covid 2 days ago.

Had the second of two jabs just over 6 months ago.

Pretty rough for those 2 days. Aching shoulders and back, very sore around jab site, headache, drained of energy, unsteady on feet. eyesight very muddled.

Wondered if anyone else has had similar, or is it just me.

I am in remission also...did exactly what you did. As I have said before my first two jabs left me with a very rough time. AND the booster left me way beyond that ... severe body achesvery high fever, chills, fatigue, vomiting and diarrhea These side effects were the worst of anything that has come my direction EVER Then a week after that I started having very much pain in my breasts ...could be cysts as several vaccinated women I know getting mammograms lately are showing cysts according to my friend's doctor. Done with it

all now. Not good for my body.

I got the two Pfizer shots. I didn't get all the symptoms you did, but the second shot gave me horrendous lower back pains the next day, as if someone had beat my kidneys.

I wish the best in recovery.

I’m sorry to hear of your pain and discomfort A CLL friend of mine had very similar symptoms to yourself after her jab and suffered similar symptoms. She has since had a mammogram and has shown a couple of cyst in her left breast. Like you she found the whole experience extremely worrying.

You're not alone. I had the same after effects plus excruciating pain in armpit and around left breast.

Yes ,,, that is exactly where the majority of pain is centered for me also Did you get your shot in the left or right arm and did it go away? Mine is not going awayCat7

Like you, in remission. My third jab was Pfizer and I had the flu jab at the same time, a hole in each shoulder. Not a great night's sleep and next day felt a bit under the weather but fine by evening. Soreness around the injection site a lot more pronounced than with the two earlier vaccinations with AZ.

No booster yet here, but feel it worth saying that this is definitely a vaccine to ‘make space’ for.. space for up to two days thorough rest; I’ve had tachycardia with both of first two jabs, which may suggest some myocardia.. Resting is not merely necessary, I figure it is essential to stay safe and recover too.

Which variety did you get? I got the two Pfizers in the middle of chemo, and the second one caused some bad lower back pain. I really want to get the Pfizer booster, but I can't say I'm looking forward to it.

Anecdote -- a friend talked to a mammogram technician who said she asks her patients if they have had the vac because breast tissue looks different then. That seems totally weird.

I suspect vaccination may cause some temporary swelling of lymph nodes in the breast adjacent to the vaccinated arm. It's likewise not uncommon for false positives for possible breast cancer due to CLL swollen lymph nodes in mammograms.

Neil... that is what happened when I did my mammogram right before my CLL diagnosismany moons ago. I remember after the mammogram I went right in for ultrasound. That's when they said yes lymph nodes but some other kind but not breast nodes.

Hope I haven't fallen out of remission.
