Just returned from a weeks holiday in Menorca. I admit the holiday excitement was replaced by apprehension, I managed to get there, have a safe holiday and stay Covid free. In fact I probably felt safer there than in the UK. It was quiet and everything is outdoors. Test in the resort, and day 2 on return were very easy. I would recommend Chronomics, you can take a Flow with you and then do the day 2 on return (simple and no silly videos to record). EasyJet do a good job enforcing masks, but I would recommend buying an FFP3 or equivalent for the flight. Don’t buy the ones with values, you won’t be allowed to board with it. The only negative was the mosquitoes, and reaction to the bites. As many of us with CLL will know, those reactions are generally a pain in the a**** Somewhat trying to return to a normal life!

Good for you. I’m booked for a week in Greece in a couple of weeks and I am stressed. I can’t defer without losing all of the cost and am terrified I will be quarantined in a hotel if the government changes it to red while I’m away. I’m confused and anxious. Im glad you had a successful venture! M

Totally emphasise with you. We are due to go to Crete in 4 weeks time and seem to change our mind about going every time there is " new" news! Quite apart from being moved to red with little or no warning which would be a nightmare, started looking at organising the pre flight PCR and the return one which is not exactly easy. Then to compound it all, my wife had one of the " indian" AZ jabs which are not yet formally approved by the EU even though Greece have said they are acceptable! We are lucky we have another week to decide whether to go or cancel/postpone without charge. Hope everything works out well for you.

I would recommend Chronomics for the tests. You can take the pre flight test with you, and do it all on line. Make sure you have cancer cover, and Covid cover. All Clear are good but a little more expensive

Thanks for response. We prefer to visit somewhere to actually get swabbed (Boots seem reasonable) for the outgoing PCR which is still currently needed but that might change. Re pre flight test, assume you mean the one required for your return trip as again much prefer to have it done in resort which most hotels are offering. Have checked with All Clear who were a lot more expensive than Insurance With but that seems to change each year.

So envy you the trip except for the extreme heat in Spain in July! Hope some day to return. Spain is truly amazing. Loved Cartagena and Madrid.Oops and Valencia 💕
