Because of the CLL information on skin cancer, I had a small biopsy taken from my lower lip today. I had a little sore, that did not heal, for months, it was not a cold sore. More of a dry area that would not go away.

Mother,
Three years ago I had a punch biopsy on a discolored spot on my lower lip, result was Actinic Cheilitis which is not a big deal. Was told it would heal itself if I stayed out of the sun. So I use a SPF 50 lip balm (sold as Banana Boat Sport) when I am out in the sun. My current dermatologist cannot resist giving the spot on my lip an occasional zap with liquid nitrogen. Again, not a big deal.
