CLL blood test
Hi Barclays and welcome here, as I see that you have just joined us.
Your blood test results indicate that you are probably in the very early stages of CLL, providing your lymph nodes, spleen and bone marrow are little involved.
With even the precursor condition to CLL, Monoclonal B-cell Lymphocytosis (MBL) coming with a degree of immune compromise, you probably also will not have the same level of immune response to vaccines as someone your age. That said, as you can deduce from what others are sharing about their antibody (immunoglobulin) response, we are still trying to get to grips with what test to have to check this and how to interpret the answers. Your immunoglobulin test results, (IgA, IgG and IgM and which you probably haven't had tested yet), may give you some indication. That's complicated by the facts that immunoglobulin counts don't give you any idea about how well your immune system responds to infections, plus T cell response to the coronavirus is much harder to determine, but appears to be a very important factor. In these circumstances, it's best to still social distance and wear a mask when out.

Hi Barclays - I'm 74 and untreated after having been diagnosed with CLL 15 years ago. Initially my IgG, IgA and IgM remained in the normal range but dropped slowly over the first 7 years until dropping out of the normal range. They are well below the normal range now but I don't get viral or bacterial infections. I'm forever being cut by thorns etc while gardening, but they heal without mishap. So immune systems are odd things, and although there are general principles in the medical literature, they can behave differently in different individuals.
