Hi All, I have just read Tortilla's post, on CLL, and he mentions' Rare Spontaneous Cure', Can anyone give any medical reponse to this, as I have never heard the term before. Is there any stats on this? All the best all.

There are several papers describing spontaneous remissions in close to 100 cases in total. In all but one case where IGHV mutation status is recorded, those experiencing spontaneous remission were IGHV mutated. Given the rate of spontaneous remission/regression is around 1%, I'd say the likelihood of spontaneous remission is closer to 2% for IGHV mutated folk and a fraction of 1% for those who are unmutated. I even wonder if the IGHV test result was correct in the one unmutated case.
