Good info here. I’m hoping to see the Moderna vaccine soon.

It will be free in the US I believe. And 200 million doses secured. UK has 7 million.

Do you know if that’s a 2 dose regimen?

Hello bennevisplace

That is good, as the Moderna vaccine is supposed to have less demanding storage requirements than the Pfizer vaccine and slightly better precent response. Very Merry Christmas.

Any more info on the Moderna vaccine? I’m poised to get it in the next week or two.

Dr. Weirda at MDA, my doc, is recommending it for All his patients.

Good that you are getting the vaccine so soon. Forbes is running a story forbes.com/sites/williamhas... about the rate of decline in antibody levels after vaccination, but this data was known to the FDA well before they approved the Moderna vaccine. Unsurprisingly the most rapid decline is in older age groups.

The good news is that the US government ordered 200 million shots, there is Pfizer BioNtech, and there are other vaccines coming. They should be able to get 80 pct of people vaccinated in 6 months, then they can give booster shots to those who need them.

I thought that circulating antibodies always drop off and the memory T cells kick start the antibodies again if you are exposed again.

This is pushing past the limits of my very limited knowledge. But I think both antibodies and virus specific T cells tail off at different rates for different viruses.

Someone better informed please come in on this.
