Painful lumps under the skin - Ibrutinib treatment

Hi there!

I just seen my haematologist and appears that the painful lumps that appeared 4 days after start of Ibrutinib were heamatomas.

My numbers didn’t change to much but WCC DOUBLED from 100 to 200 000 after one week of treatment. Obviously this is expected effect as per SmPC but wow...what a speed of change.

My spleen is smaller and lymphonodes as well.

So good luck to everyone:)

My WBC was 132 when I was put on ibrut anib and had gone up then to 302, 000 which landed me in the hospital very sick. Then numbers did start down and over the course of about a year and a half last blood test was 16. So as I've been told it's normal for your cons to go way up when you start the drug then they will plateau and start back down. How far they go back down is on an individual basis. So good luck with yours continuing down.
