Hello,
I don’t know if it’s common but I was concerned about a pain under my eye thinking it was an infection, something I have suffered with in the past. Ophthalmologist much to my surprise diagnosed dry eye. A month using HYLO TEAR and its much better.

I'm not sure if it's age thing or CLL...... About six months ago, my eyes were extremely dry and stinging like crazy, less so now..
Maybe someone else could answer your question..... I'd be interested to know the answer.. 🌻
I have one very dry often uncomfortable eye which came on very suddenly long before I was diagnosed with cll,but may be connected .I use vita pos cream at night(like grease) and hyco San drops in the day when needed
Mostly age related. I don't have dry eyes but my opthalmologist suspected I might with some issues
( not as clear distance eyesight). He said to try eye drops and if my issue didn't improve in 3 days, it wasn't dry eyes. It wasn't. It is combination of 20+ years of LASIK and beginning of cataracts ( I am 65). My hematologist said dry eyes is not related to CLL. I never asked my specialist.
Actually the only organ we can donate are our eyes. It's not dependant on blood flow. 💕
I wouldn't say it is common, but with CLL you are immune compromised and one condition that can happen (again, not common, but not unheard of) is Sjogren's Syndrome. It may not apply to you, but here is a link that gives further information to help you sort some to have a conversation with your Dr. about the possibilities.
But, aging is probably the most common denominator in dry eyes, and we are all doing that. An eye check-up would be a wise move for you. I have begun to use saline eye drops more often, but do not have what I think is a severe case and I don't have the other symptoms of Sjogren's Syndrome.

I hope you get some professional check ups to sort this. Let us know how things go.
I can tell you this, after starting ibrutinib my entire body seems dry. Including eyes, mouth, and nasal passages
I have had the problem of dry eye and stinging for a few years and my optician thought it was age related. I use the drops she recommended and wear sunglasses when l go out as a protection.,which seems to help. It can be embarrassing at times when I can’t control my eyes from streaming.
I’m still W&W and assume it’s part of the aging process. I hope this helps. Best wishes Hazel xx
Sjogrens Syndrome is the second most common auto immune after RA I believe. Its very under diagnosed. At thirty, one day my eyes went really dry, saw a Consultant back then but not diagnosed or treated for 25 years till I’d gone double sighted. Its really important to get the drops x
I had Hylotear prescribed after an eye op. and still use it for dry eye and blepharitis. I’ve also just bought a new warm eye mask which heats in the microwave for 30 secs (from Amazon but other sellers available). This one has a removable cover & a case so is more hygienic, but I use a tissue as well. I use it once a day for 10 minutes and do a gentle face wash of eyes and face night and morning. If I don’t do this I get an itchy red nose and eyes as if I have a chronic low-grade infection. The joys of CLL or just age ?
There is a link between non-Hodgkin lymphoma and autoimmune conditions, one of which is Sjogren's Syndrome. I'm not sure which came first for me, Sjogren's or CLL. Dry eye was my first symptom of SS but I have others as well.
