Can anybody give me a personal experience with apricot kernels and their effectiveness on CLL?

Apricot Kernels....what?
Why do this, when there is so little evidence that it works against cancer and as little as one apricot kernel can cause cyanide poisoning?
From sciencebasedmedicine.org/fa... , which also references a case study of cyanide poisoning from doing so:
"A 2015 Cochrane systematic review of clinical studies of amygdalin/Laetrile for cancer concluded:
The claims that laetrile or amygdalin have beneficial effects for cancer patients are not currently supported by sound clinical data. There is a considerable risk of serious adverse effects from cyanide poisoning after laetrile or amygdalin, especially after oral ingestion. The risk-benefit balance of laetrile or amygdalin as a treatment for cancer is therefore unambiguously negative"

Hi Neil, thanks for your response . This seems to be one of those products that is shrouded in controversy.
I was just on Amazon and there are multiple vendors selling it!
And as always , the internet is rife with conflicting views.
But I do agree with you , why put poison into your system .
Hi steve_canada,
There is lots of noise on the internet these days about unproven cures.
Here is a past posting about the problems with testimonials that lack scientific study.

When I was first diagnosed I was looking for alternative ways to stop or halter this cll. A friend if mine gave me some apricot kernels which did absolutely nothing. I think it probably exacerbated it. I trust no alternative treatments unless it's proven to me to be effective. I wish there was something out there but as far as I'm concerned there isn't.
I think we are all hoping there is another way and I still do my yoga and mindfulness sessions which helps and try to eat well and get sleep.
Ibrutinib has been a godsend to me . I do these other things as supportive therapies
Im glad to hear that Steve, how long have you've been on ibrutinib?
Let’s see I started on Feb 2019 - so about 18 months.
When I started I had inflamed nodes in my neck and a big lump under my left arm.
At my highest my Leukocyte count was 163 and now thank god it’s down to 21.3.
Every monthly blood test is an experience and I just pray the numbers don’t start reversing .
How about to Bruno what meds are you on?
I've been diagnosed the end of 17 this year my cll expert here in the states told me I will most likely need treatment at the end of the year. (WHICH TO BE HONEST) I'm not looking forward to. Im dreading the side effects the most. And I am very scared to put that first pill in my mouth. These meds are good to keep the cll under control but it eventually take a toll on our bodies. I just want to live a normal life is that allot to ask for? I think about cll allot and I know it's not healthy but it's how it's affecting me at the moment.
I wish you years of remission Steve🙂.
Sushibruno, oh you are watch and wait.
I’m not sure what you’ve heard about the side effects of Ibrutinib - but for me personally it has not been bad.
I get leg cramps once in a while and I used to get tired but my naturopath has me taking Vitamin D drops, B-complex and an Ashwaganda capsules called Withania Complex.
My energy level is the same now as it was before I got sick.
I can function normally
This is my story exactly (except I take Acalabrutinib). I feel grateful my doctor supports and witnesses first hand the positive outcomes from my yoga practices that form a healthy foundation for the medicine to work.
At the end of the day, Acalabrutinib is what's saving my life and in a surprising way, feels like the "great alternative" and "natural healer" in my life. I embrace it completely!
Okay! Personal experience. In 1979 my father in law was on apricot seeds that made him sick to his stomach. The hope was that laetrile a liquid high dose of apricot seeds given in an IV drip would by pass the stomach issues and yet kill his lung cancer.
The IV did reduce his pain without any morphine which was a blessing. However, the cancer was very aggressive and he died within about two months.
