Hi everyone, has anyone that's been on Imbruvica experienced severe pain under their nails? The pain like hitting your thumb with a hammer

Nickos, Your post jolted me. I've been having such pain under nail of right toe, but not thought to speak to anyone about it. I ha e been on Ibrutinib for almost 3 years and this started, I think earlier this year,. It occurs, lasts a few minutes and goes away. I've not paid too much attention as my feet ache and tingle a bit. But the toe thing is specific and different.

BluMts,you should check for redness around your toe when it occurs, there are 2 other possibilities for that agonising pain that comes and goes,Gout which is one of the side effects of Imbruvica or arthritis.

I am untreated but have the same pain intermittently. I asked my CLL specialist about it and it was thought to be vascular. I just finished a round of testing for Lupus so that is ruled out. I would be interested to learn what cause that you end up learning it is.

I use L-Glutamine powder an amino acid. I had heard about such pain you describe. It was recommended by my oncology pharmacist. If I forget to take it I have noticed some pressure under one or two nails. Not as bad as you mentioned. Athletes also take it.

Thanks, that could be a big help,as the pain is quite excruciating sometimes.
