Hi,I've been experiencing some blurred vision, finding it difficult to concentrate on my work on nightshift, which involves matching and making ink colours for polythene packaging,I also think my eyes have degraded,I don't know if it's through fatigue ,or from the CLL or a side effect of the IBRUTINIB.Do I contact my ONC or go see my Optician? Advice would be greatly appreciated thankyou.

Dry eyes
Nickos, I'd suggest you contact your CLL Dr. to inform and ask if there is any relation to your CLL AND see an opthamologist not an optometrist. The opthamologist is the one who will look into the structure of your eye--see if there is some deterioration.
Also, if you are not drinking the 64 oz of water suggested while taking Ibrutinib, that might be a factor in the dry eyes--may not be, but it could be.
Aging is a factor in dry eyes and I use eye drops (over the counter) that have the word tears in the name--on advice of my opthamalogist.
It is an important thing to be checking on, of course. Best wishes and let us know how things go.
I had the same problem while On Imbruvica. Neede new glasses twice, and had constant dry eye. I was switched to Venclexta and I no longer have dry eyes. My eyesight improved ( over time ) and I monger need my glasses for distance. In my research I discovered that macular edema is a side effect of Imbruvica in a small group. I would contact both doctors. Wish I could remember the citation for macular edema as a side effect- good luck
Sorry I replied to your post, but when I edited it , it somehow became a new post, no longer a reply. I do not know how to fix this😱
I am not in treatment, but have been dealing with dry eye syndrome for several years. I get plugs in my lower tear ducts, replaced every 3 - 6 months ( the permanent option was very irritating for me) and use Restasis eye drops (prescription) and preservative free saline drops. I would mention the issue to your oncologist, but would definitely see a good opthamologist.
